This shoe was designed for an activity called Disaster Wrenching. It was a workout based on intensive pushing and pulling movements that needed a shoe that had anti ankle roll support and foot roll that occurs during the pushing and pulling movements. It is designed to eliminate shifting within the shoe during hard training. The heel is rolled to allow for pulling and stepping going backwards (like a fireman's drag for example). Other features are a very breathable sock liner and fat laces. The sole is the always reliable herringbone pattern. This shoe is about performance under fire hence the orange color scheme.
